From Vernier Rd. north to St Clair Shores city limit. They use Ka radar.
Cook Road near Mack Avenue
Cook Road between Mack Ave. and Morningside. Two schools, hockey rink and Children’s Home in the area. Road is also a favorite for walkers and bike riders. Residential area with 25 mph posted limit. Police hide in school parking lots and residential driveways.
Vernier Road near Sunningdale Street
Grosse Pointe Woods radar car sets up in the private driveway of the condos located across from Sunningdale (at Parcells Middle School). Car faces east to get westbound drivers just as Vernier opens up to four lanes divided. Always there on Sunday mornings to get the righteous on their way to church. Moderate to sporardic enforcement at other times during the day.
