Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan Speed Traps

Between 3pm & 6pm an officer is occasionally parked on Charlevoix between Blairmoor & Edmunton facing south (toward Vernier) looking for speeders driving North on Charlevoix.

Police are frequently driving around Mack Ave. between Oxford and Cook Rd. Speed limit is 35 MPH. You should never speed above 35 MPH between these streets anytime of the day.

Officers park along side the road in both directions and pull everyone going over the speed limit over. Officers have also been spotted in the parking lot of the Dental Office on the corner of Mack and Vernier and the gas station kiddy corner to the dentist office.

On Marter Road between 8 and 9 Mile. Watch for cops parked down any of the side streets or even on Marter Road itself.

traveling both eastbound and westbound on Cook Road, the radar police sit in the parking lot of Liggett High School. The speed limit is 25mph, but this is a heavily traveled street with traffic patterns that would indicate that it is a street that would more likely be 30mph. They regularly have young officers on a ticket quota sitting there to nab you and 5 miles over the limit will get you a ticket.
