Hudsonville, Michigan Speed Traps
Parking lot behind All the Extras on 36th Ave and Chicago Dr
Sometimes cops will sit in the empty business parking lot behind All the Extras at the corner of 36th Ave and Chicago Drive across the street from Talsma’s parking lot. They normally are pointing south to catch people coming north on 36th Ave towards Chicago Drive because the speed limit is 25mph. I live on 36th Ave just north of Chicago Drive and see people pulled over all the time in front of my house!
32nd and I-196
Heavy stationary radar patrolling both directions. No schools in area, only a few businesses- 35MPH- too slow, and people get edgy. . .Officers sit just off of 32nd- just out of normal driving viewing- mainly by the restaurant and gas station areas. Got a warning the first week I moved here. BEWARE!
New Holland Street near 36th Avenue
There’s a church on the south side of the street between 32nd Ave. and 36th Ave where the cops love to sit and wait for a speeder. The signs say 35 "Strictly Enforced" so I wouldn’t go much more than 3 over there…
Chicago Drive near 72nd Avenue
If you are heading West bound on Chicago Drive, right after you pass 72nd avenue in between the east and west bound lanes he will be sitting in a make shift parking area. Normally this trap is in effect in the mornings after 8 a.m. and typically during the last two weeks of the month. If he isn’t there then when you approach 48th avenue he will usually be sitting there and can monitor either lane at that location.
