Kalamazoo, Michigan Speed Traps

Two patrol cars. One is on a side street and the other in the parking drive of a local business. Patrolman points radar at on-coming traffic while another patrolman hand signals the cars to turn onto side street to get a ticket. It is common for there to be multiple cars stopped there at any given time.

Coming from Stadium on Howard. You will top a hill at the intersection of Oakland and Howard. There are often cops gunning as cars descend the steep hill (Eastbound). The speed limit also drops to 30 on the hill, so drivers must brake all the way down.

The cop will sit in the Consumers Powerstation just before Planned Parenthood on the right hand side, and just past the bend in the road if you are coming from Drake. They usually are sitting there with the unmarked black cruiser and pointing the speed detection device (whichever one it is) toward the traffic coming from Drake.

Officers will wait at the park entrance on kilgore close to garden st. and run a radar
