Lansing, Michigan Speed Traps
MLK Boulevard near Moores River Drive
Officers in cars and motorcyles a on a side street just beyond the bridge by the old GM plant, heading south. You can’t see them until you’re at the bottom of the bridge and then it’s too late. I’ve seen 3 motorcycle cops there at one time.
Washington Avenue near railroad tracks
Motorcycle officers hang out in a parking lot right before the railroad tracks. You can’t seen them because there is an old train car blocking your view. The speed limit is 25 mph and most people fly through there at 35 to 40.
Canal Road near St Joe Road
During School hours AM and afternoon by Delta Center School
Hides at Apartment exits
MLK Jr. Boulevard near Gordon Avenue
Almost every morning at 8am I see either a Lansing police car or motorcycle sitting on Gordon Ave, on the East side of MLK, pointing radar at the Northbound morning traffic on MLK. This is shortly after the speed limit drops from 40 to 35 on MLK.
Willoughby Road near Cedar Street
In between Washington & Cedar Streets. Enforcement usually sits on north side of road in a field area across from Gunn Rd. Posted 35 mph….should be set at 45 mph. Very stringent tickets, even 10 over gets you a ticket!
