Lincoln Park, Michigan Speed Traps

Lincoln Park cops will sit in or next to the Feed Rite pet store on the north bound side of Fort street. They will sit there and have their radar gun shoot down at north bound traffic. Southgate cops do something similar too.
Watch out for parallel parked unmarked cops on Fort street too.

Driving North bound on Dix / Toledo Avenue just after going under the I-75 overpass . An undercover police unit (usually a minivan) will be radaring from the parking lot of the shopping center on the right. Standby police units will be parked in the lot on the corner of Champaign and Dix / Toledo Avenue just awaiting to give you that extra merit award for driving at a minimum excess of the stated speed.

With heavy construction going on the overpass, LP police like to hide a officer with a laser gun behind construction equipment or in nearby parking lots with other police crusiers a block away to round up the speeders tagged by the hidden officer. You wont even see the one with the gun till you pass him as he is VERY well hidden and by then its to late.
Dont be fooled into thinking no police are there when theres no construction activity either!!

Police like to sit in the area either right before or right after the over pass. The speed limit is 35, traffice is usually moving at 40-50mph. Watch out more toward the end or begining of the month.

From DixToledo traveling North just as you pass the viaduct of I – 75 they usually sit in the parking lot of the Foodland store and get you either coming from the freeway or Dix. Speed limit posted at 40 and imposible if coming off of the exit ramp of I- 75 or from the downhill slop of Dix.
