Pratt Rd. and Orchard Dr. Police car facing west.

Metamora, MichiganAug 21, 20230 Comments

Police sit at the edge of Orchard Dr. facing west trapping speeders moving in both east and west directions on Pratt Rd. Orchard Dr. is at the bottom of a valley thus car approaching this speed trap from either east or west direction will be moving down hill. Speed limit in this area is 55 MPH but due to hills, cars can easily travel 65 MPH or more.

Baldwin Road near Brocker Road

On Baldwin Road North of Brocker Road they sit in the grassy knoll by the white fence. This is a low lying area hidden by trees. Going north you’re toast, You cannot see them. Going south You can see them if you’re looking but they will have your speed very early just as you come over the hill. Their positioning is very tactical so you cannot identify them. The speed limit is 55 however it is not marked all the way down the road. They sit in the low lying area so it is downhill both north and southbound directions so it is easy to drift above 55mph. If you are going more than 55 at all you will get it. I was doing 60 and was wrote up for the 5 over. They are there all the time.

from the four lane to the two lane they will sit at the end of the left turn lane ….or just pass the intersection off on the right behind the big tree waiting for the people who are accelerating to pass before the left lane ends

M-24 as far north as Sutton Rd. and as far south as the county line.

The same guy out between 4-5am usually sits on east side JUST south of old farmhouse about a 1/3 mile north of Brocker Rd. Been driving past this area for last 5 years and no speedtrap until early spring 2003. Gotta be as a result of grandholms budget cuts. Speed traps are a money generator plain and simple.
