County Mounties park hidden by trees on the west side of M33 facing north just north of log cabin road to welcome you to Oscoda county. Expect no sympathy even when you go just a little over to pass a car on one of the few straight sections where you can pass.!
US Highway 23 near Ausable Point Road
At the North end of a four lane passing zone on East side of hiway Ausable Point road curves into wooded area where usually during holidays MSP like to hide up to 6 cars to catch people speeding in the passing lanes. This area is also used by the Sheriff ocasionally and Oscoda city police. Police set back into the road a couple car lenghts and is very hard to see them until you are right up on them.
State Highway US 23 near AuSable Road
Cops will sit back off road in the trees and you don’t know they are there if you are going north or south (toward Tawas City)until you are on top of them. Mostly Oscoda city cops, but troopers sometimes too. Sneaky.
