Oxford, Michigan Speed Traps
State Highway M-24 near Oakwood Road
An Oakland County Sheriff’s deputy is notorious for writing an abundance of civil infractions (I’ve heard, 70 WEEKLY!) in the stretch of M-24 north of Oxford to Davis Lake Road (the county line). Deputy is the Motor Carrier enforcement officer for the substation located approximately 1 mile south of Oakwood. This guy is gung ho so watch your speed and make sure your commercial trucks are in order
Baldwin Road near Granger Road
Just south of granger road there is a new subdivision on the west side of baldwin. County officer sits in the Truck and radars southbound traffic in the early am. Also further down Baldwin, they sit in the Heather Lakes Estate entrances. The speed limit is 55 south of granger and I have passed them at 62mph with no action. Near Heather Lakes, it is believed to be 45mph so be careful.
Newman Road near Drahner Road
Sherrif hides in cut away drive next to Paint Creek Golf Club South of Drahner on West side of road. Speed limit is 25 MPH on dirt road and you tend to speed towards the pavement you can see ahead of you. You will be pulled over at more than 5 over the 25 MPH limit.
Burdick Road near State Highway 24 Lapeer
Oxford Township Police sit in front of Little Caesar’s on Burdick where speed posted is 25mph. The hill past the cemetery is where speed changes from 40 to 25 and as you’re coming down the hill, you must brake constantly to get down to posted speed or you will be caught!
