Every now and then enforcement. They (Emmet Sherrif) like to hide behind a bend at the top of Division Road going towards Mitchell St. They like this side of the road and will follow you for a bit down (or up) the hill if they want to get you. They wait across from Bear Creek Township Hall.
Partols go anwhere in this general area, along Emmet Street, by the college, and down by Curtis Field. Watch out!
Petoskey Police sit in open lots or Department of Public Works lot. They also use their personal road to cut over to the waterfront. Watch out, many tickets writen on the entire road.
Anywhere from Cormack’s Deli to the intersection of US 131 and US 31 is open game. Look for abandoned parking lots, the graveyard lot, the Fairgrounds parking lot, Eppler Road, and on the shoulder of US 31. They love this area.
A five mile stretch of Highway 31 next to The Bay Harbor Development, an area newly annexed to the City of Petoskey, Michigan. The Petoskey City Police write 2 point speeding tickets at $90.00 apiece for 1-5 mph over the poorly marked 55 mph speed limit. Anyone is fair game. Exploitive enforcement.
