Redford, Michigan Speed Traps

the trap is located on telegraph rd. between plymouth rd. and the jeffries frwy. there is an overpass for trains and the police sit on both sides of this bridge in the turn arounds and just cherry pick the speeders. 45 mph speed limit.

This is a no turn on red. The only one on Telegraph Road as far as I can tell. You can’t turn onto Joy Road. From Telegraph west bound. They sit next to the Mobil 1 phone shop.

They park on the side street Dover. Traveling south on Telegraph from Plymouth road are orange barrels but no construction. The construction does not start until about Warren road where they are actually working. You know it is strictly to get the money when they give it to you for impeding $140.00! and say your lucky it is not double for construction zone. I am all for driving 35 around real construction! but this is ridiculous 3 miles of barrels before the actual construction. I was driving what I thought the speed limit was, 45. Not 50 or 60 as most people do down Telegraph.

Police will sit in median turnaround just past rail bridge northbound on Telegraph, also in motel parking lot just past I-96 overpass to radar the downgrade. Southbound Telegraph travelers will find police sitting on Glendale on the opposite side of overpass of I-96. Posted speed is 45, do not exceed 50 in this area. Police are provided wage incentives for every 2 tickets they write.

Usually around 8:30am until 9:30am there is an officer sitting in a marked car on one of the side streets (west side of Beech) anywhere between 6 Mile and Margareta. Ocassionally you’ll see him in the parking lot of the party store on the north side of Beech Daly at 6 Mile.
