Rochester Hills, Michigan Speed Traps
Avon Road near Rochester Road
On Avon Road Between Rochester Road and Dequindre, a police officer sits off in dirt hills across from Cidermill Village apartments and it is hard to see them. The speed limit is 40 mph, so coming from a 50 mph speed limit off of Rochster Road, many people get caught speeding
Brewster Road near Tienken Road
A little subdivision at the top of a hill is hidden well by trees and greenery. Police just sit there and wait for someone going over 35 mph. It is easier to see them going Southbound, rather than northbound.
Eastern Street near Milton Street
A Oakland county sheriffs deputy, will usually sit up the road (south on Eastern) of the stop sign on the corner of Milton and Eastern and monitor you stopping at the stop sign, this guy will give you a ticket for not stopping, he may call the canine unit to sniff your car if he feels like it also.
Hamlin Road near Borden Park
Hamlin road between Dequindre and Rochester roads is unlit and doesn’t seem to be anything at first glance. But Oakland deputies park on the shoulder and radar you on Hamlin, and when i have gone by them in the mornings when it’s dark i sometimes dont see them till it’s too late. Never got a ticket goin through there, but have seen a few people get pulled over on my pass through. I have only seen them in the mornings before its light out, so be cautious if these times apply to your drive through there.
Butler Road near bwtn. Squirrel and Adams Road
this road should be 45, but the cops have it marked 25. the cops sit across the street from the golf coarse. they have black cars with no markings at all on them. as you drive past they jump out from behind trees and bushes and shoot you with their radar guns, then they run out into the road in front of you to get you to stop. they stopped me for 5 over!
