Schoolcraft, Michigan Speed Traps

If you are traveling east on eliza and travel over the railroad tracks it is 25 mph. Then it climbs to 30 mph until you reach the outer limits of schoolcraft village. If you are coming into town it is 55 mph into the same stretch of road that is 30mph leaveing town. It doesn’t change to 25 until you are over the tracks heading into town. This section of road is very confusing because they have changed location and posted speed several time in the 30 years that I have lived here and never put up any signs that allert you of any new speed limit changes. I have received one ticket and a warning in this zone both after a speed limit change.

The place where sheds are sold across from the McDonalds, the cop sits in the parking lot of the place where the sheds are sold and is usually hidden by the sheds out front.

The whole city is a big speed trap and a major slowdown to anyone trying to make time through it. Look out for City cops sitting in the Car Wash in the south end of town.
