South Lyon, Michigan Speed Traps

When headed south on Lafayette the speed limit goes from 40mph to 25 mph about 300 feet before you hit the train tracks. The Police are ussaly hiding on the other side of the tracks in a Chiropractor’s parking lot where they are not visable.

They park on Martindale Rd just north of 11 Mile. Very hard to see. Mostly check to see if you come to a complete stop at the sign. Burned out light, seat belt, you will get pulled over.

Police park their car behind the Welcome to South Lyon sign, and are hidden from traffic traveling East on Ten Mi.

Just inside city limits. Posted speed drops fast because of school zone and entering city limits.

This is a 25 MPH zone on 9 mile road between Pontiac Trail and Dixboro. There are multiple cars pulled over every day on this stretch of Road. The limitis 25 but the Police speed in order to catch up to you and process your information from your license plate. I have been in a car that was pulled over for doing 3 miles an hour over the speed limit.
