Taylor, Michigan Speed Traps
Eureka Rd. and I-75
Taylor police sit hidden just east of the construction zone on Eureka and just west of the same zone . At various times of the day they have two patrol cars covering both sides at the same time. They can get you coming and going. They say they want to help protect workers in the construction zone which is a good idea but they are out there even when no work is going on so this is really a good money maker for the city.
Southbound Telegraph (US 24)
Southbound Telegraph just past interstate 94. Taylor police sit
in the drive as you approach the Gardner White furniture store.
The posted speed limit is 45, but if you just came off I94 you
will probably not pick out the sign, and its too late when
you get to Gardner White.

Unmarked cars patrolling Allen Rd. construction area
Taylor police have two new unmarked Dodge Chargers – one is bright red and the other dark gray. These cars are issuing speeding tickets at the Allen Rd. construction area from Goddard Rd. South to Northline Rd. where the speed limit has been reduced to 30 and 35 mph from 40 and 45 mph depending how close you are to Goddard Rd. These cars are also seen issuing speeding tickets at the Telegraph Rd. and Ecorse overpass area speed trap where the road goes downhill. The cops sit in the Gardner White parking lot.
West bound Eureka Rd at Telegraph Rd
The 2 lights at Telegraph Rd do not stay yellow enough to get through both. Police sit in parking lot just past 7-11 and ticket people for running a red light.
