Taylor, Michigan Speed Traps
south bound Telegraph road just before Ecorse
State patrol is in Gardner White’s parking lot just past the overpass to carch drivers exceseeding speed limit as cars go down the hill to go under the overpass .
I-94 & Telegraph Rd.
They are all over the stretch between Ford Rd., south to Ecorse. These police departments (Taylor and Dearborn Heights) are aggressive. It doesn’t have anything to do with safety- it is all about revenue collection. Personally, I will never do business in these communities. They have taken enough of my money. They mask speeding offenses with "Impeding Traffic." I’d love to know why they do this- is it to hide the immeasurable amount of speeding tickets they issue? All on the guise of being decent to you- so you won’t get the points. It is probably a heftier fine.
Telegraph South of Ecorse Rd at Furniture Store.
Over 45 mph is a guaranteed ticket here. The police car sits in the furniture store parking lot all day watching southbound traffic. It’s usually during the day but night time can be hazardous too!
Telegraph Road and Haynes
A police Is located on Telegraph Road and Haynes right after 94 HWY
Southbound exit ramp from I-75 to Eureka Ave
There not a sign in the intersection prohibiting right turns on red at this intersection (as stipulated by Michigan law). However, police sit in the parking lot waiting for people who miss a small sign earlier on the exit ramp. They quickly write an expensive administrative fine. The city budget for fines is 10% this year, up from 6% received in 2010. This combination makes this area dangerous for visitors.
