Waterford, Michigan Speed Traps

marked car in treed entrance to sub, west side of road approx 1/8 of a mile north of Hiller.

Officer will sit on Cass Lake Road between Elizabeth Lake Road and Cass-Elizabeth Lake Road on the opposite side of 300 Bowl. Mostly sits at bottom of hill on right side of Cass Lake as you are heading towards Elizabeth Lake Road from Keego Harbor. Speed Limit is 35 MPH. They are there almost every day at all hours.

The Waterford Police hide near the golf course on the South side of Elizabeth Lake Road about 1/4 mile from Cooley lake Road. The speed limit is 40mph and they normally run Ka band radar

Waterford Police sit on the side of M-59 about 1000 feet to the West of Telegraph. The speed limit is a 35 so they nail alot of people. This is enforced early in the morning when traffic is not to heavy yet (5:00am-6:00am).

No radar used when I was stopped. (We had been having disputes with 2 neighbors over their children wrecking our property and teasing our dog inside fenced yard.) I had detector on visor, had come around a bend on my dead-end street, stopped, took a picture of him, and detector had no action. I then went on very slowly. When he approached, I noticed 2 silver speakers as of a boom box, lying faceup on his dash. I was NOT speeding on my home’s side road. He said I was going too fast, was then made to notice my detector, and that I had also taken a picture of HIM in wait, and he promptly headed to his car, spoke into headquarters or somewhere, and I was let go! Another day, I exchanged vehicles with my fiance, a military recruiter. I had his truck, he, my car. He had on a wig of my haircolor, and my sunglasses. I was dressed in his military get-up. Fiance was then stopped! I was behind, and snapped pictures. Different cop. Fiance was charged with speeding, altho no radar use registered on our detectors. We went to court, with attorney who had advised us seeing we had neighbor problems, (to have camera and taperecorder onhand), and cops goose cooked! These Waterford cops are crooked. Beware and bring a camera and tape recorder.
