Wayne, Michigan Speed Traps

From I 275 to Ford Motor Plants (East) Cars sit in party stores, gas stations as people rush to work Always someone pulled over every morning 5:30 am to 6:00 am and 3:30PM start of the night shift Westbound Michigan Ave.(US12) when the shift let’s out 4:30 pm or 12 pm car sits in the 112 parking lot or church or gas station. When ever plants are open. Its like they know when they will be letting out if they go 8 to 10 hours.

On michigan avenue about a mile west of venoy. A second road sprouts from Michigan avenue heading northwest. A sign announcing the speed is now 25mph is located on north side of road. Police can be seen parked in the resturant parking lot perhaps a 100 yards at most from the speed limit change from 40 to 25. Frequent tickets here.

Mich.Ave from Wayne Rd to newburgh rd near the underpass is the worst because of the change in the speed limit.

Westland Police are pulling over vehicles travelling over 35 in this school zone on either side of Glenwood after school at Wayne Memorial High School. Lately, I have seen them pulling people that are travelling East on the Wayne side of Glenwood. I’m not sure if this is legal for them to do or not but watch out, make complete stops, take off from stops slow, and keep it under 30 mph.

Traveling Westbound on Michigan Ave. The speed drops from 40 to 30 as you proceed through downtown Wayne. As you approach the Wayne Theatre (north side of Michigan Ave) you will proceed around a curve. The officer sits on the northside of the road in the Liberty Car wash. Everyone that makes this corner is accelerating up to the 45 mph that begins after you go under the train bridge.
