Westland, Michigan Speed Traps

This is an 8 lane divided boulevard for only 3/4 of a mile thru this municipality with only a 40mph speed limit. Should be 50mph. The officers will write you up for obstruction with an $180 fine but with no points. Total cash grab. Don’t drive this stretch on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Inkster and Wayne. All of these cities have a cash grab up and running on this stretch of a road that has an artificially low speed limit. Take I-94 and avoid these despicable cities.

The officer sits there every day, and stops car after car. He must write about 50 tickets a day!! Awful…

They sit by the rail road underpass in the maintenance rd,sometimes catching N bound then switch to S. Bound side,Radar is instant-on KA-band.

There is one block of Farminton rd. that is 25 M.P.H. just north of Ann Arbor Tr. and then the speed Limlt goes up to 40 M.P.H. With NO reduce Speed Ahead Sign of any Kind! Watch Out Westland Cop’s sit in that block a Lot! They Got ME!!!!

I own a business at Glenwood and Venoy and a police officer sits in our parking lot and gets someone about every 4-6 minutes. No one notices him in the parking lot until its too late. So beware and be careful do the speed limit in front of here and he will let you pass. It’s 35mph and no left turn off side street by Robertsons but you can turn out of parking lot left. He’s out there from about 11am-6-7pm and sometimes later.
