Westland, Michigan Speed Traps

The radar cop is usually parked on the East side of Wildwood just south of Darwin. He is off the road and on the shoulder. He is checking vehicles going North Bound On Wildwood from Glenwood to Palmer Roads. This speed trap is very actively used by the cops

They tend to hang out around the RR tracks South of Cherry Hill and can be found sitting with radar and driving. Westland authorizes over time to officers to patrol the area on a regular basis

At glenwood and flora lane, or glenwood and linville, sometimes by the railroad tracks just down the street too, cops like to wait. glenwood is the border of wayne and westland so look out for both kinds of cops

Watch out for police on motorcycles around the area of Westland Mall. They sit in the mall parking lot near the major intersections and watch for speeders as well as any types of illgal turns(it’s clarly marked on at least one intersection that there is no turn on red) I got pulled over for turning on red, didn’t see the sign but got off easy with an excessive noise violation(no points) and reduced fine when I sent the ticket in with an explanation.

Cops lay low north of Warren on Floral, at least four houses from Warren, waiting for people to go through YELLOW lights. They don’t do it every day. Maybe three times a weeks or so. Just be careful
