State Highway 169

The speed limit gradually increases to 55 as you leave town. If you accelerate in advance of the signs, they nab you. There’s so much traffic through town that the locals are upset. Their only recourse is to catch as many speeders as possible.

officer late on febuary 29 had someone pulled over on side of road. i could see this for about 4 miles because when i came out of vernon center i could see the lights. as i aprouched the stop i slowed down and pulled into oppisite lane. the officer was at the car and he had left his door to the patrol car open. when in the other lane officer turned and pointed his flashlight at my car.just the thing to do to cause a accident. why don’t our officers that are paid buy the city of vernon center and amboy stay in town and patrol the towns not the highways. the state patrols can do the state highway and county sheriff do the county. if in the area from amboy to vernon on the weekends please be be prepared for officers that have not worked out in public enough to understand their jobs. note — you can check and see if they are at the office in amboy then you have clear sailing.

They have a Police Chief who will stop you for 5 over. Slow down in these towns.

This local cop spends have his time in each of these small towns (part time cop) and when he drives between both towns he stops and gives out tickets. I believe he thinks he’s a highway patrolman. Rinky-dink !
