Anoka, Minnesota Speed Traps
Main Street Downtown Anoka
Watch for signs that depict 30 miles for short durations inbetween signs that read 35!
7th Avenue near Hull Road
City of Anoka Police regularly run radar on 7th Ave. near the Park&Ride lot at Garfield St. They seem to be targeting the heavy traffic that is enroute to and leaving the high school every day.
Ferry Street just South of R.R. track grade crossing
City of Anoka PD (And occasionally state Patrol and less often Anoka County Sherrifs squads) usually hide on East side of 47. Traffic usually accelerates going up to R.R. grade crossing. Stops are made in front of SCI Recycling Service, about two blocks later. I’ve seen as many as 12 stops in a two hour period.
US Highway 10 near Ferry Street
Both eastbound and westbound traffic on Hwy 10. This is a posted 60mph zone.
Ferry Street near US Highway 10
Traffic heading North and South bound on Ferry Street south of Highway 10. Anoka PD will sit in an apartment complex parking lot or pull into a residential driveway. When traveling North on Ferry Street you will not see the squad until s/he has "gotten" you with the radar or laser if s/she is sitting in the apartment parking lot.
