Chisholm, Minnesota Speed Traps

As you enter the town of Chisholm from N. Hwy. 169 the speed drops from hwy. speed (55-65mph) to town speed (30mph) with NO WARNING of a reduced speed ahead. The local police are always waiting at the Dairy Queen (which is near the speed change) to catch the unsuspecting motorists and issue them a speeding ticket.

Radar eqipped patrol cars will wwait in a church parking lot for drivers attempting to merge onto a 65 mile an hour highway with a 30 mile per hour ramp — favorite extra – how about a dui test at night

You must be doing 30 mph or less when you come in by the Dairy Queen. 1 mph over will get you a ticket no questions asked and the same heading south out of town until you get to the highway.
