Columbus, Minnesota Speed Traps

There are Anoka County Sheriff’s Deputies that enforce the speed limits on all the roads. They usually don’t bother you if you are going no more then 8 mph over the posted speed limit. The last Deputy that got me for speeding gave me a ticket under the "Dimmler Law" this way the ticket doesn’t show up on my driving record he told me and my insurance doesn’t find out about it either.

Anoka County Sheriff’s Deputies operate moving and stationary radar along that entire stretch of road. Watch out for the late afternoon Deputy that works that area, he will tag you if you are going more then 10 mph over the posted speed limit of 55 mph.

Directly across from the Conoco Station at 9444 Lake Drive NE. Anoka County Sheriff’s Deputies sit in the area and watch for speeders. There is also a sign at that location that says: "State Law No Passing On The Shoulder". Watch out they will ticket you for that also.

Anoka County Deputy parks on the north or south shoulder tucked in real tight blacked out. Gets you with both front and rear radar. Posted speed limit is 55 mph. Also watch out for the Deer crossing the road quite often.
