Highway 61 and Innovation Road

Cottage Grove, MinnesotaJul 22, 20120 Comments

Cops on Bridges using radar to shoot Highway 61 southbound. Definite wolf pack, a combiniation of local cops and county sheriffs. When we were caught, so were 4 other cars. They finish up despensing tickets on Hwy 61, turn around at the next exit and head back to the bridge to pull over the next one. Was clocked, supposedly, at 11 miles over speed limit, while driving in large pack of cars in right lane all doing same speed. Seemed pretty random to me.

The transition of Radio Dr. into Tower Dr.

Cottage Grove, MinnesotaNov 04, 20100 Comments

Tower Dr. (or Radio Dr.) just before it intersects County Rd. 74. The cops check both directions. the posted speed is 55 but is way to slow. They hide just after the curvy rise in the road flattens, when its too late. I just got a ticket there!

Hwy 61 and 70th Street Bridge

Cottage Grove, MinnesotaMar 18, 20100 Comments

About 0200 to 0400 there were 2 squads on the bridge shooting radar down at vehicles on Hwy 61. Also, 1each on the eastbound and west or Northbound ramps to Hwy 61

Innovation Road near State Route 22555

Cottage Grove, MinnesotaJun 10, 20070 Comments

I have seen cops sit on the Innovation bridge that goes over 10/61 and heads to the 3M factory. I have been hit by laser from them sitting On the bridge shooting cars from the front and the back as they pass under the bridge. I see them sitting on the East side of the bridge shooting both east and west bound traffic, not sitting under the bridge but sitting on top of the bridge. I have only seen this trap late at night, so I would say you are pretty safe from that trap during the day.
