Highway 106, bisecting little town of Deer Creek.

Deer Creek, MinnesotaApr 10, 20130 Comments

The police officer is actually from New York Mills, a mercenary working for Deer Creek. The road called 106 goes through Deer Creek in a North/South way and there is nothing to the town, really, it’s quite small and you have to pass through town if you use 106. The officer hides somewhere (near the stop sign, in my experience) and comes up behind you over any minor infraction he can muster up. Goes out of his way, oh so polite, to point out that if you just pay the money it won’t even go on your record because it’s "administrative." Classic small town speed trap.
