I-35 Corridor from Boundary Ave to 26th Ave E end of freeway
Heavy patrolling along the entire stretch by State Patrol and DPD. Radar detector receives continuous strong signals especially @ I-535/I-35 interchange area and in the vicinity of Cody Street/Central Avenue exits. Signal possibly in conjunction with MDOT cameras used for highway traffic conditions & observation. Tunnels along the route have a reduced speed limit of 50mph.
Arrowhead Road between Haines road and Swan Lake Road
1 Officer standing in a driveway with some type of radar gun and the next driveway approx. An unmarked silver squad with an officer sitting there and approx 3-4 more blocks a Duluth police squad car parked on Swan Lake Road.
I 35 N at 5th Ave. West on ramp.
North bound I 35 in Duluth heading toward North Shore Route 61. State Trooper on 5th Ave. North on ramp before tunnels.
Interstate 35 W and Cody Street Exit
Cars are suppose to come off the Interstate and slow to 30mph. Most of the time they are still doing 50mph when they hit Cody Street.
Woodland Ave. at the "S" curves near Hartley Nature Center
Police cruiser parked in presently unused hidden driveway opposite side of Hartley Nature Center entrance on upper Woodland Ave. at the "S" curves. Seen most frequently in morning rush hour. Sometimes will vary to Lutheran church parking lot farther down Woodland just before the "S" curves.
