La Crescent, Minnesota Speed Traps

A marked MN Trooper cruiser sat in the median of US 61/14, monitoring traffic coming northbound and especially westbound from over the bridge from Wisconsin. Took special interest in cars turning right at the traffic light while following US 61/14 from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Your reporter was pulled over despite not speeding, and was ticketed instead for illegally tinted windows. The trooper brought out a very nifty digital window tint detector; he mentioned it was the first time he had ever used it "in the field."
