LVPD sits on the side of and under bridges on I35 from county 46 to county 70. they were chased off of the interstate once by the Minnesota Highway Patrol before but they are back now.. they love to give dui’s.
185th Street near Judicial Road
Early mornings LPD sit on the median facing west tracking cars coming from Prior Lake area. Speed limit is 55mph, but traffic is frequently over 60mph because the road is so wide and comfortable at higher speed. Sometimes they sit further east off on private property near the lake. Slow down from the county line to I-35.
160th Street near Lac Lavon Road
They (AVPD and LPD) sit in the median w/ lights off clocking as you go down the hill towards Lac Lavon rd before and after Highview Dr.
Cedar Avenue near South of Dodd Road
LVPD and AVPD sitting on the medians in the low spots. Either direction. Rural 4-lane divided, S/L is 55, traffic averages 65.
Flagstaff Avenue near 160th Street
There is a roughly 1/2 mile stretch of Flagstaff Avenue between 160th Street and Dodd Boulevard which is a 30mph stretch sandwiched between two 40 mph zones. As development south of Dodd and 170th has grown, police have substantially increased their monitoring of this stretch.
