Maple Grove, Minnesota Speed Traps

Read through these and saw a big one missed. State Patrol depot is located at this exit and they always set traps here.

A Maple Grove black, unmarked crown vic will park in the far left-hand turn lane( there are 2 left hand turn lanes) and run radar on cars going north on Zachary Lane . The speed limit is 45 mph and it easy to exceed it. As you approach intersection at 85th the road curves to the left and then you start to go a down a slight incline. They run this speed trap throughout the day. Times verify. They are very active between the hours of 4 – 6 am when people are on their way to work.

Between Maple Grove and Rogers. Hennepin County loves to sit here and pick off anyone they can get. Usually around the entrance to Elm Creek County Park. All hours of the day.

An officer sits behind road sign on bridge and the squads line up in the middle median tagging southbound traffic. 3-7 cars at a time.
