If the cop (or cops) are not patrolling the area (in between Co. Rd. 55 and Dodd Rd.), they will sit behind the Saint Thomas Academy Ice Arena sign so that they can hit you with their radar way before you can see their squad car as you drive by. The trap is generally meant for east-bound travelers (ie: Saint Thomas Academy students headed to and from school and activities). The cops do patrol mendota heights road fairly heavily in the evenings.

I-494 e/b and w/b. A trooper (or two) sits under the bridge at Pilot Knob Rd. The speed limit is 60, but many go much over, so its easy to speed, and even easier to get pulled over. He’s hard to see since its around a curve, until its too late.
Marie Ave. between Delaware Ave. & Dodd Rd.
This speed trap is usually set up for people going westbound on Marie Avenue West between Delaware Avenue and Dodd Road. There is a slight hill in the road as you pass Sibley High School. They tag you as you come down the hill while you are picking up speed where they are sitting down on Callahan Place. The speed limit is only 30 mph, but all the streets around this area are 40 mph. Over 10 mph they will tag you.
