So. frontage road along 394, betwn Co. Rd. 73 and Ridgedale

Hwy 494 south of Hwy 7
Police and Highway Patrol sit under the second bridge just south of Hwy 7 as you are southbound. The road curves and goes downhill so you can not see them until they see you. This is one of the most used traps in the Minneapolis area. Knowledgeable drivers habitually start to slow down after passing Hwy 7 and many hit their brakes as they round the turn after realizing they forgot to check their speed. This causes traffic accordion backups in rush hour. The northbound lane is trapped in the same location the same way.
