Approaching Pine River from the east, the speed limit changes from 55 to 30 in an area where the homes have very deep setbacks from the road. Exiting Pine River to the east the setbacks change from close to very deep about 1/2 mile before the speed limit increases. The PRPD frequently has radar set up on this last 1/2 mile stretch in town. Cars get ticketed going both dirctions on a regular basis.

City police sit on either side of the highway checking speed. You will not know they are there until it is to late, most of the traps are set at night with the dark blue squad backed into a position you can’t see.
