This has been a speed trap for years. The Richfield police will wait on the north side of the Avenue near the car parts store and then target speeding cars going east toward 66th and Cedar (entrance to Highway 77.)

I have observed both marked and unmarked squads parked on these side streets on the west side of Bloomington Ave sitting back just far enough from the intersection so they cannot be seen, and waiting until you’ve rolled thru the stopsign or tapped the brake and cruised on thru it. Watch your speed, and make darn sure you’ve stopped at ALL the stopsigns on this short stretch.

This is unbelievable how many people are pulled over every week in this location. 6 – 8 people at a time!!!!!!!! Speed Limit is 30mph which is too slow for the street and my 41 mph cost me $145.

They sit in the church parking lot just south of the cemetary on the left hand side as you are going south
