Territorial Rd and Fletcher Lane

Cops sit in the church parking lot and bust people for “failure to stop” at the fourway stop. Cops are always present at this intersection, especially at night.

The service road from Cabellas to the Burger King stop sign.

The officer who stopped me said they are getting complaints because the speed limit is 30 mph through there, past the McDonalds, so they are definitely prowling hard there … pretty much the definition of a speed trap. It’s all commercial frontage, no sidewalks, no pedestrian traffic, and almost four-lanes. Throw in some poorly marked speed signs and it appears to be a nice little revenue generator for Rogers/Minnesota. Great!

State Highway 101 near County Trunk 144

Rogers, MinnesotaNov 26, 20060 Comments

If you are traveling northbound on Hwy 101 from South Diamond Lake Road approaching Co 144 or 141st Ave, the officer likes to sit in the ditch on the right side of the road. He sits just south of Co 144 or 141st Ave. The speed limit is a posted 55mph. The RPD uses Laser all the time.

I have been driving/commuting this stretch of road on and off for 20 years and there is not a day that goes by that i don’t see a Hennepin Cty Sheriff along that stretch. They especially like to sit at the Hwy 81/101–Brockton lane intersection.I NEVER speed on this road especially at night.

I-94 south of County Road 101

Rogers, MinnesotaJun 18, 20030 Comments

Your traveling on I-94 N and you go around a slight curve and then it’s 3 lanes wide open for about 1 – 2 miles to Country Road 101. It’s a 70 MPH zone so your already carrying good speed eveybody starts jockeying for position and the Cops sit on the median zapping you. Both State troopers and County Sheriff’s monitor this spot.
