Roseville, Minnesota Speed Traps
Between B2 and C
The police hide behind a retaining wall at Oakland & Cleveland and catch people coming down the hill going north. This section of Cleveland is 30 mph. The next block the road changes to 40 mph. The feeder streets of B2 and C are at 35mph.
Ramsey County Road B2 @ Hamline Av. N.
They sit in lot on North side of B2 facing B2, about 2 doors east of Hamline Av. N, in the Roseville Masonic Center parking lot. They are likely catching kids from the HS, but from 8AM-6PM, 7 days a week, there’s about a 40% chance one is there.
Lot borders on a heavily wooded park, so there is plenty of cover and the lot is deep, easy for them to make seeing them before they clock you impossible.
Eastbound Hwy 36 between Cleveland and Snelling Avenues
Once or twice a week, a State Patrol vehicle is parked (and well-hidden) in the median looking for speeders during AM rush.
State Highway 36 near Dale Street
Hwy 36 overpass of Dale Street, read on this site about Saturday mornings, I drive this route every other Saturday and every Sunday and 9 times out of ten there is a trap on both days.
State Highway MN 36 near Dale St. bridge Street
I have only seen the police there on Saturday mornings and not every week, but often. They sit on the Dale St. bridge in the center median next to the cement barrier that is higher than the police car. Sometimes they are working both directions, sometimes only one direction. Highway is posted at 55 mph. 60-65 mph is not unusual for drivers.
