Roseville, Minnesota Speed Traps
County Road B Road near Fairview Avenue North Avenue
Police wait in the parking lot of the Fairview Community Center just West of Fairview Ave. waiting for East bound traffic cresting off the hill. Take either Larpenteur Avenue or Roselawn to cross to the East, if it’s not out of your way, to avoid this hill.
Dale Street near Larpenteur Avenue
Police like to sit down the side streets just past Larpenteur with their radar guns when you are heading south on Dale. I have seen people get busted in this area all the time, the speed limit changes from 40 north of Larpenteur to 30 once you’re south of it.
Interstate I-35W near Between County C and I-694 interchange
It’s common to see Highway Patrol or local law enforcement cars sitting in the median near overpasses along this stretch. The urban speed limits in much of the Twin Cities have recently been raised to 60MPH, with the caveat that they will enforce that limit more rigorously. Enforcement in this stretch of 35W seems to be particularly prevalent between rush hour times (i.e., late AM and early PM), and post-rush early in the evenings.
