Saint Anthony, Minnesota Speed Traps
Police are all over this road, especially as it narrows and heads down hill. They are most active at night, especially weekends, and there appears to be a DWT bias: Driving While Teenaged. Talking to the police, they say it’s a good opportunity to sniff the atmosphere in the car. As a parent, I don’t think this is a bad thing
On Cty Rd. D, west of Silver Lake..limit is 30…and they are waiting in business parking lot on the north side of street..can’t see them until it’s too late..Also near the school if you are going East on Cty Rd. D
between the golf course and sunset and hillside cemetarys. there are no lights on this streach, ant the st anthony police dept. is there several days a week ater dark.
The squad car parks on the grassy median between the lanes, hidden by trees until you get quite close. The posted speed limit is only 25mph, and they will ticket you for going 27, and then also for not wearing seat belt, or equipment violations, etc.
Heavy enforcement most days on Silver Lake Road; regular pull-overs @ 10:30 p.m. on 33rd and Silver Lake Road outside of Police Department headquarters.
