Dale Street near larpenture Avenue

Saint Paul, MinnesotaJan 29, 20060 Comments

If you are driving down Dale street either going into st paul (towards University.) or driving into the burbs (towards Larpenture.) They have cops down the side streets on the left hand side of the street (across the cemetary and next to larpenture) or on the hill when you are about a mile away from university. They tag everyone but they pull the real bad speeders over, which is good in some cases

Montreal Avenue near Hamline Avenue

Saint Paul, MinnesotaJan 24, 20060 Comments

Cops sit in a parking lot of Highland Golf Course (in between Hamline and Snelling, but closer to Hamlime). They sit there in the evening so the only thing you can see is their parking lights just as you drive by.

Dale Street near Como Street

Saint Paul, MinnesotaJan 23, 20060 Comments

When travelling northbound on Dale Street approaching the Como intersection, it’s not unusual for an officer to sit on the north side of the hill with his radar. Speed limit is only 30 mph at that point and nearly impossible to maintain on this 4 lane road especially as you go up the hill.

Interstate 35E near State Highway 13

Saint Paul, MinnesotaJan 08, 20060 Comments

Hwy 35E south out of St. Paul to Eagan. As you cross the Mississippi river bridge and start up the hill south of Hwy 13, all traffic speeds up well beyond the speed limit. As you crest the hill – there is a bridge across Hwy 35E where Hwy Patrol sits with radar/laser gun. Over the hill beyond sight will be a group of 4 to 8 trooper cars to pull over speeders identified from the bridge.

Have seen at all times of day, but at end of morning rush is most often time. North-bound traffic into St. Paul is still slow and backed up – so those going South toward Eagan get a bit of extra joy of being able to move quickly. State Troopers make the most of it.
