Simon Avenue near Dale Street
Police sit facing Eastbound on Simon Avenue at Dale Street. They are monitoring traffic going southbound on Dale. Mid-day, usually between 1:30 and 3:30 pm. Sometimes seen on Jessamine, one block north of Simon. Pretty aggressive. Always seem to get their man.
Interstate 94 East/West Bound near Ramps
The cops will sit in the grass on nearly every on/off ramp from White Bear Ave. to 694. I see them all the time during the day and mostly in the summer.
Cretin Avenue near Summit Avenue Boulevard
Northbound Cretin Avenue near the College of St. Thomas often has radar traps north of the football field. Traffic moves at least 5 mph above the posted speed limit, often 10 mph.
East River Road Parkway near Lake/Marshall Street
St. Paul police park under the Lake St/Marshall St. Bridge on East River Rd. Coming down the hill, it is very difficult to stay at or below the 25 MPH speed limit, especially with tailgaters who refuse to drive 25.
White Bear Avenue near Minnehaha Street
Motorcycle cops spend a lot of time in this area, This is a 4 lane road with high traffic volume. They are on you before you know it. Average speed is about 35-40 but most traffic is over 40.
