Saint Paul, Minnesota Speed Traps
Snelling Avenue near St Clair – Grand Avenue
Northbound on Snelling most common – sometimes southbound in evening. Multiple motorcycle officers and unmarked squads
Point Douglas Road
There are houses facing HWY 61 as you drive towards or away from the 90 degree corner at Highwood Ave. Along this frontage road, an unmarked St. Paul Police officer sits and waits for drivers going over the 30mph posted speed limit. He is there in the mornings during rush hour, I have yet to see him over the last two years in the PM rush.
Mississippi River Boulevard near Elsie Street
Unmarked squad sitting in car on Elsie with radargun.
Warner Road near Childs Road
Cops often hide in median and side of road from downtown St. Paul to Highway 61.
Maryland Avenue near Jackson Street
Motorcycle Officers will sit on Maryland @ Jackson St monitoring the West Bound traffic coming off of 35E, speed limit is 30mph and many people are caught accelerating above this limit to climb the hill. It seems a bit unfair, due to the incline, However, I never see them there when the weather is inclement.
