Saint Paul, Minnesota Speed Traps
This is fairly regular. And the Squad sits on the east side of Snelling Avenue Directly across from MaCalister College.
They tend to radar check cars heading north.
This is quite often set up.
Traps are somewhat regular between Interstate 94 and Grand, The first trap runs for about three blocks south of 94, The second Directly North of Summit by The College of St.Thomas, The either have a Motorcycle sit on the sidewalk where River Road intersects or there will be an Unmarked squad or two in St.Thomas’s Parking Lot.
On Shepard Road, about a half mile west of Randolph Avenue and a half mile east of Otto Avenue, patrol cars sit on a grassy area behind trees/hedge patrolling westbound traffic on Shepard Road.
Enforcement sets up on Davern Street weekday mornings between 8:00-9:00AM patrolling traffic going westbound on Shepard Road.
Undercover police cars have been catching people going east-bound down the hill on Saint Clair Avenue and Pleasant, very close to the 35E offramp. I have seen it at all times of the day, but it seems to be most common at night. The police like to sit under the billboard right on that intersection 2-deep. Watch out!
