Horn Lake, Mississippi Speed Traps

Speedlimit on Hwy 301 is 55 until after stop sign at Nail road. This is a four lane Hwy. with center turn lane. Limit drops to 45MPH with only one sign that must be looked for to be seen.

Hurt Rd. (from Nail Rd. to Goodman Rd.)If you’re coming from Nail Rd. going north, there is a large sign on the right (east side). officers take radar often. 40 yards down is a small church on the left (west side). they sit there often at night . and about 150 yards more, is a small road called Pain .when they sit here you can’t see them til you are directly in front of their car . Great place to get a ticket at the corner of Hurt and Pain.

Church Road is 35 miles an hour until you reach Tulane going East it then becomes 25 MPH on a section of rolling hills.

Going East on Church Road from Hwy 301 the speed drops suddenly from 45 MPH to 35 MPH and the police usually sit at the top of a hill in a church parking lot.i

Coming into Memphis on 55 North speed reduces from 70 to 60 Horn Lake and Southaven City police are shooting radar under overpass hiding behind concrete pillars in median. I don’t think it’s right for them to be giving tickets on a federal highway which should be out of their jurisdiction.
