US-80, at the Hinds/Rankin county line, the speed limit is 45 MPH, but traffic naturally goes 55-60 MPH. A Mississippi Highway Patrol officer, a Jackson Police officer, or a Flowood Police officer can be found hiding in the empty area on the north side of the road just east of the Pearl River Bridge, obscured by trees. This is a popular radar site because it’s unincorporated, directly on a county line, and there is lots of area nearby to facilitate a traffic stop.

coming down Northside drive from Clinton heading towards Jackson, right as you top the hill once you’ve crossed Flag Chapel road, an Motorcycle officer usually sits at the bottom of the hill on a side street right before Upper level NightClub along with Patrol Cars and shoots radar standing. It’s nearly impossible to see him unless your looking for his Bike specifically cuase his uniform blends in with the shrubs. Once he traps you, he walks into Northside Drive and stops traffic and directs you to awaiting patrol car who will right you a ticket

State troopers use front and rear radar antennas(24.150 K-band sometimes K instant-on.) to get you at the entrance to the Stack northbound from gallatin and southbound coming from pearl street as you round corner at pearl/south jackson exits divide. JPD motorcycles sit using Falcon handheld K band south of the Stack. be careful as you round corners, especially near the end rails of bridges.

Two Jackson police cars will sit on right side of interstate in front of elton road bridge crossing I-55 south with cars park straight with hoods facing the road. The officers will either shoot laser out their windows or be leaning over hood . They use Atlanta Speed Laser guns R series. Usually Once you top the hill traveling northbound there is really no time to slow down.

Entering Jackson Eastbound the speedlimit drops from 70 to 60 in an area where you cannot notice the change due to the amount of signage and highway changes. 3 different troopers working the traffic and giving out tickets.
