Vicksburg, Mississippi Speed Traps
Highway 61N from Vicksburg to Rolling Fork
There is a MS highway patrolman who has been assigned here for several years and is known to have written more traffic tickets than any other patrolman in the state. He typically is around the Cary area, but can be found anywhere from Rolling Fork to where the highway turns from two to four lane at the Yazoo River bridge just north of Vicksburg.
I-20 East of Vicksburg
Two Mississippi Highway Patrol in expensive Mustangs running radar just East of Vicksburg–highway robbery pays.
Rt. 61 South of I-20
City and state police cruisers heavily patrol and shoot Ka both north and south bound. From I-20 the speedlimit on Rt. 61 southbound goes from 60 to 55 to 45 MPH to the end of the Vicksburg Corp. limit and from 65 to 55 to 45 coming north from south of town. I drive this route daily and typically see LEO’s at least 3 out of 5 weekdays. Pay attention to the signs.
On I-20 close to the exit for the National Military Park
City and state police park in the median facing the westbound traffic just west of the heavily treed section of median between the intersection with Highway 61 North and the exit to the national military park
On I-20 before the Bovina Exit by the Bridge / Golf Course
Highway patrol cars love to part right by the bridge, you wont see them until you top the hill, then they have you.
