Bonne Terre, Missouri Speed Traps

As you’re coming into Bonne Terre from any direction, you’d better slow down before you pass the city limit signs. City cops like to sit just on other side of signs and get you coming into or leaving town. They are especially bad if you are coming into town from Terre Du Lac Lake Development which is on Highway 47 about 5 miles west of Bonne Terre, or if you are coming North from Desloge (old Hwy 67) on Vo-Tech Road. The speed limit drops to 20 mph in front of high school and they especially like to watch that area because almost no one is ever going that slow.
