Clayton, Missouri Speed Traps

Clayton PD likes to sit in the sidestreets between Clayton Rd. and Wydown off Big Bend and shoot radar on both north and southbound traffic on Big Bend. The limit is posted at 30, but you get run over if you’re doing 40. It’s easy pickings for them!

On the north side of Wydown, closer to Hanley. Police sit out of view (behind a stone hut) and will get anybody going over 30, as it is a "No Tolerance" area. Traffic problems make this more relevant during non-rush hours. Will pull for anything over 30, best bet is to just stay under thirty all of Wydown as Clayton Police are bored and have nothing better to do.

Because the Forest Park Pkwy is closed, Clayton Pd has set a "no tolerancel" level of enforcement. And they really mean it! They run radar on Wydown (mostly 7400-7500 blocks) and on Forsyth (6300-6400 blocks). People are getting tickets for 5 mph over the speed limits.
