Hartville, Missouri Speed Traps

MO Hwy 5 goes through town. About 100 feet before the city limit when coming in from the north there is a warning that the up coming speed limit is 35MPH. Goes from 55 MPH to 35 MPH. Coming in from the south there are no warning signs and it goes from 55 MPH to 35 MPH. Police may be found anywhere along Hwy 5 in town. Have seen a lot of cars stopped.

Officers back against buildings and can not be seen from the road until it toooo late. They sit in the Garage parking lot and Funeral Home as well. The spot at the funeral home is shaded very well and they are almost completely hiden.

Speed limit drops from 55 to 30 with very little transition distance. It is almost impossible to go down to 30 without heavy brakingsince the road is on the decline. The cruiser is up ahead waiting on the side of the street facing toward you.
