Hazelwood, Missouri Speed Traps
Williams Blvd & N Florissant Rd
The cops sit in a driveway at the bottom of a 20mph steep hill and catch any motorist who is not riding their brakes to keep up with that rediculously low speed limit! Not to mention when you tell them you weren’t going as fast as they say(which is always the case), they tell you to get a lawyer. Not to mention they like to nab people leaving church on Sunday.
Howdershell Road near Lynn Haven Lane
The Hazelwood police department sits in the parking lot of Beldt’s Aquarium/Diamond Anna’s Cafe waiting for people to come over the slight hill at an accelerated speed northeast of the parking lot, although I’m sure they are not particular from which direction you come. The speed also drops from 35 to 30 right around there. I have noticed the cops do sit there and pull people over anywhere between 5:30 am and 9:00 p.m. all week.
Lindbergh Boulevard near Utz Lane
Stop Light Camera that is quick to change and get ya. The fine is $100. If the light changes to yellow best bet is to stop ’cause the yellow light is short.
Interstate 270 near Lindbergh Boulevard
Hazelwood Police love to sit on the entrance ramp to I-270 off of Lindbergh (heading toward I-170) and radar people. Then they sit on the I-170 ramp, and radar to return to Lindbergh.
Lynn Haven Drive near Howdershell Road
During the day an unmarked car will sit on Lynn Haven between Howdershell and Dunn Road. It is a residential area but it is popular because it’s a cut-through. Tickets will be handed out for 5 miles or more over the limit.
