Lee's Summit, Missouri Speed Traps

Enforcement due to Longview Road construction. Detoured traffic uses Murray Road (residential). Traps are set at either top or bottom of hill by 3rd Street

On the west side of a one lane RR underpass the City Police frequently hide in the private driveway entrance of a Horse Farm and anticipate oncoming traffic to speed up to get through the short underpass in order to not tie up traffic approaching from the other way which has a Yield Marker. No bargaining with the Lees Summit Police Department who seem to view the entire city as a place to obtain additional revenue from the driving public.

2 to 3 cops work this trap. Two cops w/radar or laser, pointing up the hill and the other writes the tickets. If you are speeding the cop will walk out into the lane,stand in the middle like he wants you to run him over then you’ll stop and then he’ll tell you were going WAY TOO Fast.

When driving toward the 4-way stop at Todd George and Tudor, right before that there is two small parking spots where cops like to sit and radar every car when you drive by.
